Holistic Nutrition is an approach to life, a purposeful approach.

It goes a lot further than simply counting the fat, protein and calories in food. Holistic Nutrition focuses on our internal body systems working together alongside our mind and being. It is a focus on us, as a whole, immersed in our environment and our everyday lives – nothing in isolation. It’s all about cooking for health and learning to unlock the therapeutic benefits of food while having a blast in the kitchen doing it.

I have a family that eats together and enjoys life together. We know the feeling that a home cooked meal around a table brings. Our food nourishes us and gives us the energy to live life fully. We do eat burgers, we do stop by the fast food restaurants once in a while but we have a solid healthy foundation that is not shaken when we do this.

I love life and I love my family. That pretty much sums up how I came to own a nutrition practice here in sunny Lethbridge, Alberta. I was previously drawn to finance and held a rewarding career analyzing all things related to interest rates, currency and securities. After I had a family my interests changed and questions started to pop up. Why were the kids always getting colds? Would it be possible to reduce food sensitivities naturally? Would a change in diet reduce my son’s frustrations with seasonal allergies?

My studies began at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN), the most established Canadian natural health school, blending science-based education with ancient wisdom. Here I learned many nutritional strategies to boost our health. After graduating from CSNN, I enrolled in the Academy of Culinary Nutrition where I joined with a tremendous community to take my book knowledge to the kitchen. I then began to apply it to create nourishing dishes, develop healthy from scratch recipes and to partner with an inspiring team to bring cooking classes to my local community. The sky is the limit when you are inspired!

My work is energizing, as I love connecting with good people that are interested in improving their health. I continually remind my clients that small steps matter. Most people already know a change is needed and I love to help my clients move forward with what already feels right. Everyday I work with a diverse group of people all facing different issues and working towards individual goals. No one fits into a box and so every diet and every recommendation is unique. A healthy lifestyle is not an all-or-nothing situation, so join me and let me support you on this whole foods journey!
